NATIONAL BREED SHOWS

The National Breed Show Committee has taken the decision to postpone this years show in view of the constant movement of Blue Tongue Zones. We agreed it will be a logistical nightmare as movement of zones seems to take place with a few days notice.
The Notts Male & Female show has been postponed for the same reason.

SHOW INFORMATION
The BGS CAE Monitored Herd rules do not require goats from these herds to be separately penned from those that are whole Herd Tested.

Whilst taking show entries, it has become apparent that a BGS Monitored Herd Certificate is not adequate to enable show secretaries to cross reference kids and goatlings and bucklings with their dams ear mark, if the dams earmark is not given on the entry form. ( i.e. if she is not entered in the show).
The regulations state, (10b) no entries can will be accepted in the B & W categories unless CAE blood test results are on BGS submission form or sheep and goat health scheme forms. This is to enable quick and accurate confirmation of the status of the goats attending the show.
Therefore a copy of the BGS submission forms that is sent to the laboratory must be sent with all entries to shows.
Unfortunately a BGS Monitored Herd Certificate alone is not adequate.
